The GD.pm module can be found at the CPANsite. The version installed is 1.27. All of the software required to support this module was downloaded and built in the /disk2/downloads/perl/GD directory tree.

Requirements for the GD module are:

• Perl 5.004 or higher
• The gd graphics library, version 1.6.3 or higher
• The PNG graphics library. It has moved several times. You may have to search for it.
• The zlib compression library
• The FreeType font rendering library for TrueType fonts (optional)
• The jpeg photo quality image compression library
• The xpm library is required, and is usually part of the slackware distribution

The required software packages were installed in bottom up order and placed in /usr/local/ . . .

These additional modules were installled as well from CPAN:

• GDGraph - a package to generate charts, using Lincoln Stein's GD.pm.
• GDTextUtil - Text utilities for use with the GD drawing package.

All Perl modules are installed into the /usr/lib/perl5/site_perl directory tree.

The Statistics::OLS module can be found at the CPANsite. The version installed is 0.04. There is no additional software required.
